Improving product quality
We use a range of cost-effective techniques for quality improvement, including
Improving the products’ Design For Manufacture and Design For Test
Eliminating opportunities for error in the way the products are manufactured and
tested; this can include using Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
Corrective Action and Preventive Action processes and tools
Root cause analysis, looking for the real cause of defects or failures, not the symptomatic
Stress screening techniques (see below) to minimise units that arrive at the customer
in a faulty state.
We have used reliability enhancement techniques such as Highly Accelerated Life Testing
and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HALT and HASS) for many years, working with
leading providers of environmental stress chambers.
We also undertake other types of stress screening, including bump, vibration and
drop testing, and we undertake ‘Design For Reliability’ assessment and Failure Mode
and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
